Donate Life West Virginia and Wendy’s Celebrate Success of Organ Donation Awareness Campaign in West Virginia

WHO:Donate Life West Virginia, a statewide initiative consisting of the four organ procurement organizations (OPOs) that serve West Virginia and 56 area Wendy’s restaurants. WHAT: Wendy’s contributes $10,000 to Donate Life West Virginia following an awareness and fundraising campaign in honor of National Donate Life Month in April. National Donate Life Month encourages people to become organ, tissue and cornea donors and to learn about the importance of donation. WHEN: Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. WHERE: Wendy’s in Huntington, WV DETAILS: Wendy’s partnership with Donate Life West Virginia kicked off April 3 at Wendy’s in Ripley, WV with a flag raising ceremony with donor mom and Wendy’s manager Lisa Johnson.  On community night held on April 24, Wendy’s contributed 10% of all sales from 56 area Wendy’s restaurants to Donate Life West Virginia. Wendy’s generous contribution will support donor awareness programs and donor family resources.
