CHARLESTON, W.VA., Oct. 6, 2016 – Wendy’s® and Donate Life West Virginia are partnering to promote organ, tissue and cornea donation awareness at 15 Wendy’s restaurant locations in West Virginia and Ohio during the third annual Community Night being held from 4-8 p.m. tonight.

Participating Wendy’s locations will donate 10 percent of proceeds during the event to Donate Life West Virginia, a statewide initiative consisting of four organ procurement organizations (OPOs) that serve West Virginia and several Ohio counties.

“Organ, tissue and cornea donation touches many lives,” said Christy Conley, outreach coordinator, Donate Life West Virginia. “We are grateful to participating Wendy’s restaurants for helping us share the life-affirming message of donation with their communities.”

“I’m so thankful that my employer and Donate Life West Virginia are again helping raise awareness about the importance of registering to be an organ donor and giving the gift of life,” said Lisa Johnson, a donor mom and Wendy’s store manager in Ripley, West Virginia.
